The Cast of Time Stands Still: Meet Richard

Meet Adam Jamieson, our Richard.

Adam is excited to join the experienced and talented cast and crew of DIYTheatre in their production of Margulies’ Time Stands Still.  Coming from Ontario and the world of education, Adam feels fortunate to have made connections in the Calgary theatre and performing community over the past couple of years.  What a friendly bunch! Adam feels strongly about promoting theatre as a vehicle for community engagement and hopes to continue his involvement in such.

Why Time Stands Still? Although seen as a threat by those in power, journalists provide an integral role in maintaining a free and open world.  Foreign war and hostile environment correspondents face dangers that we are unfamiliar with in Canada and because of that, they should be a celebrated part of our society for their highlighting of areas in our world that require our attention for a better and more peaceful future.  Unfortunately, the truth these writers and photographers discover is so blunt that it can’t help but cause them trauma. It is important to tell their stories even though they are the ones who are usually doing the telling.
