The Cast of Closer: Meet Dan

Insightful, warm, complex. Here is our Dan:

Owen commanded the rehearsal space when he came in to audition for the show. His passion was clear, and the intricacies and nuances of his work were evident straight from the callback.

Owen is thrilled to be joining the cast of Closer for his first show with DIY Theatre. When asked why he is excited to be involved, Owen told us that Closer is a show whose caliber is rare. The characters are vulnerable, gritty, flawed, and real. Coupled with the unavoidable intimacy of the space this show will offer an incredible journey and challenge to be a part of. 

He is a playwright and producer and penned and mounted two shows at the Edmonton International Fringe Festival, both to critical acclaim. He is hoping to bring his one man show Half the Battle to the Amsterdam Fringe this September and a cross Canada tour in 2019.
